Safety Gear! All our boats are generally equipped with Life jackets, VHF Marine radio, Compass, and GPS Chart plotter.

Our fleet in Gizo consist of the following boats:

2 x Yamaha Southwind centre console 6.8 metre boats powered by 100Hp Yamaha 4-stroke outboard engine.

1 x 4.8 metre "Stessel" aluminium runabout with cabin, powered by 100Hp Yamaha 4-stroke outboard engine. (not pictured)

1 x 19 foot Yamaha long boat powered by 60Hp Yamaha oil injected 2-stroke outboard engine.

NEW! A new twin 100Hp engined 8.0m Yamaha Southwind Boat will available for charter from 1st September onwards. This boat is powered by twin 100Hp Yamaha 4-stroke outboard engines, has all the safety gear including satellite phone and GPS Chart Plotter. A very fast and comfortable boat, cruising at 27 knots approximately with a loading capacity of approximately 1,000kg plus fuel. The boat has a fantastic range of up to 210 nautical miles (399 km approx.)

Solomon Connect boats are equipped with GPS Chartplotters on all far away trips or where navigation at night time is required. The Chartplotters are loaded with the complete set of all Nautical Charts of the Solomon Islands. From Santa Cruz to Bougainville!

Satellite Phone - Safety & Convenience! Stay in Touch! Communicate from anywhere! Drivers report when reaching far-away destinations ...something goes wrong and we can ask for help immediately. A Satellite Phone is carried on our boats on long trips to further add to the safety of our passengers. The phone is also available for use by the passengers at a cost of SBD40.00 per 20 seconds or part there of (payable to the driver at the conclusion of a call).
