Simbo Volcano Island Day trip

This is a full day boat cruise to Simbo Island, which is dominated by two young volcanic cones. A 2 hour walk through jungle, past headhunting shrines and boiling lakes will take you to the top of the Simbo Volcano.

This island is host to the Megapode bird, which incubates its eggs in the volcanic heat.

The villagers from Simbo also use the hot springs to cook. Part of their diet is the megapode egg. For a glimpse of Solomon culture, this is the tour for you.

The boat trip is across open water and is therefore dependant on the weather and sea conditions.
